Event Background and Positioning
Thailand announced on June 15, 2026 the launch of The Tom Thailand 2026, the country's first pageant dedicated to "toms" — a Thai term widely recognized within the local LGBTQ+ community to describe masculine-presenting lesbian women.
Organizers have positioned the event not as a celebrity-driven showcase but as a national platform accessible to everyday toms from all parts of the country. Judging criteria will encompass not only physical presentation but also the quality of participants' thinking, conduct, and approach to life.
Competition Team
Three prominent figures have been named as Masters for the competition: Anant Semathong, known as Mae Uan Return; Winit Bunchaisri; and singer Thachai Prathumwan, known as Keng. A coaching team comprising Patitthaya Khwantrakun, Sumonrat, and Piyawan Chuentako will support contestants throughout the competition.
Pageant director Wilailak Sirisakhon, known as Nan, issued a public invitation to toms nationwide, encouraging those with confidence, talent, and a desire to inspire others to apply and help elevate the identity and potential of Thai toms to a national stage.
Founding Vision
Lek Bunnada Thippibal, founder and rights holder of the competition, said the project was built on the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to demonstrate what they are capable of. The pageant is intended to encourage a new generation to step confidently into the public eye, regardless of province of origin or personal style.
Registration details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
