Brazil São Paulo 30th Pride Parade

The 30th LGBT+ Pride Parade took place on Paulista Avenue in São Paulo on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Alongside the traditional multi-colored decorations, the green and yellow of the Brazilian flag stood out significantly as large crowds voluntarily wore these colors to protest against Bolsonarism and show support for the World Cup. Event promoter Thauan Libarino stated his pride in being Brazilian and in the national culture.

The morning event featured speeches opposing the far right, addressing declining sponsorships, and rallying votes for political candidates who advocate for LGBTQIA+ causes.

Continuing a trend from previous years, São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes and State Governor Tarcísio de Freitas were absent. Parade director Matheus Emílio, 30, noted that while the landmark cultural event remains open to all legislative and executive officials regardless of political ideology, the absence of Nunes and Tarcísio was regrettable.
